Default Interpreting extractor lug imprints on 29s(& others?)

I've observed, in my modest experience examining wear on revolvers, that the recoil shields(breech faces?) of some 29s(perhaps of other models also, but I've not looked at many other models) will have marks mirroring the six extractor lugs surrounding the hole in the center(I hope this description is reasonably clear.). Would this be evidence of many heavy magnum loads fired and excessive endshake?

Thank you for your expert input, friends.
Andy

I'm not sure if we are talking about the same observation or not, but the marks I've seen on the breech face are from the case heads striking/impacting the face of the breech during firing....and (or) from holster carry of the gun over long periods of time while the cylinder is loaded. (police duty)

Basically a kind of a "shadow" of brass residue that mirrors the position of the brass casings in the chambers.

The only part of the extractor that actually touches the breech is the relatively small, slightly raised boss around the center pin, in the center of the extractor.
