My father in law is a retired CSM (AUSA) who served in a variety of combat and non-combat roles from 1945 until 1976. He is in possession of a S&W Model 37 (Airweight) with a 3" barrel; blued (that I think may be something he may have received during his service as a change of command/posting gift but not too sure of that). The wooden grips on it have a government (or Army) seal in gold on each side. The serial number is 366489. Any information available for this weapon that you may be able to give me is appreciated. I don't have pics of the weapon at this time but can get them.
Thanks, Floyd
