12-3 airweight...odd markings?
I have a 12-3 that id like dated if possible. also have a few ?'s. Sn is 8D68577. the "77" is slightly out of line a little with the rest of the SN. marked mod 12-3 on yoke. also has an odd marking on the crane...marked C9 and 9X687 under the c9 in smaller type. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

it is the "assembly" number. You will find the same number under the grips on the left side and also on inside of sideplate if you were to take it off.
(Don't worry about the 77's - I think it is unique and cool)

the "c9" is probably a inspector or a fitters mark/stamp
