Model 29-2 Model 649-1 found after 30 years
I have a Model 29-2, 44 Mag 8 3/8" Blued Serial N721533, with wood box which has the blue felt damaged. I have never fired the weapon. Can anyone give me an approximate age and value of the weapon. I bought during the Clint Eastwood days and just never used it.
In addition I have a Model 649-1 38 S&W SPL stainless 5 shot hamerless Serial#BBV0167 which is also unfired. Can anyone give the approximate age and value
I thought these guns were lost but found them in a box that I never unpacked for some reason
THANKS
Wayne

Welcome! N721533 would likely be from 1980. A new/unfired since purchase 8 3/8" model 29-2 with an intact Presentation case would probably be in the $1200 range. Forum member jcelect (Joe Cebull) does an excellent inner liner repair on these cases.
Prefix BBV is from late 1998. A model 649 of that era would be about $500 or so with the original box and contents.
Bet you had a nice day when you opened the box and found these inside . Hope this is helpful.

I'm pretty sure Mr murphydog slipped on one digit when typing the year on your Model 649. I'm pretty sure he meant to type 1988.

So you packed them away in a box and misplaced them for 30 years?
And you thought they were gone for good?
AMAZING!
