Probably 1978, but this is only a rough guess based on approximate production figures for the N prefix serial numbers. A letter is your only certain way to know.

Model 29-2, N353041, was shipped on September 3, 1976, so your 29-2 was probably shipped in the first half of 1977. It could be earlier, depending on the production schedule for this model, but there is no way to know for certain without obtaining a letter of authenticity (letter will provide the exact shipping date and location).

Thanks, Bill. Good info. It helps confirm what I have long held - that the approximations provided in the SCSW are not really very helpful in the N prefix serials. As we know, blocks of numbers were reserved for different models and were used based upon the runs of each model, resulting in the numbers frequently being used out of sequence.
It all points back to the fact that a letter from the SWHF is the only way to get certainty, as we frequently point out.

Based on the numbers in my database, your gun most likely shipped Jun/Jul time frame 1977.
