S&W 14-3 Serial number help
Just picked up a very nice 14-3 with 8 3/8 bbl. Need help with the date 6K9048X.

According to the "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson - 4th Edition" your serial number is from 1975.

Bob, what are you using on the blade of your front sight (green spot)? sticker or paint? If a sticker, does it stay on well for you? thanks, Gary
