38 Special Model 37 - Worth
Hi, I have a 38 Special CTG with a 2.5" barrel. Model is 37 and it has a fixed sight.
I found it while remodeling a home from the 40s. It has a custom leather pouch with what I assume is a date (04 63).
I'm really curious on how old this thing is and how much it might be worth. Thank you in advance for your help!

I'll bet that barrel is 3" long, measured from the cylinder, not the front of the frame.
If you'll post the serial number from the butt of the frame, we can give you a date, although the sharper-eyed than me (almost everybody) may be able to see more information in the shot of the open cylinder than I can.
Worth, I don't really know. I'd pay $550.00-$600.00 if I was in the market for one.

Welcome! It is from between 1958 and 1982, but the SN (from the flat bottom of the grip frame, 5-6 digits and possibly a letter) will tell us for sure.
Figure about $450 or so as a value. Hope this is helpful.

Serial number
For the life of me, I can not find any numbers other than the numbers by the model 37. Those numbers are 21125, but I thought I read somewhere that number was for the manufacturing floor and was useless.
Anywhere else I could look? This is the pic of where I found the model and that 21125 number.

Serial# location
Take the grips off. The serial# is stamped on the bottom of the grip frame.

Welcome to the Forum Jdtrogdor!
Look in the Forum classifieds and you'll see a beautiful one for sale with original grips, box, etc.
Once it sells, you can judge for yourself on the value of yours.
It shows where to find serial number too.

I can't seem to find the gun you are referring to. Can you message me the link? I'm really new to this whole thing.
