Here's my Model 19-3 c.a. 1970.

I picked it up a few months ago and finally took it out to the range.

I was very impressed with the double action trigger pull. It is the best trigger I've ever felt. Single action was well, how do I put this LIGHT!

I have the original box, papers and tools(except the bore brush).

Best,

I shot 85 rd of 38 spl through my 4" 19-3 today. Mine's not nearly as nice as yours, but it sure is a good shooter.

Great looking gun and sounds like a great shooter,I kinda like a light crisp SA but you do have to concentrate when useing .

I like a light SA pull too, especially if for hunting.

I'm always leery of S&Ws with sweet DA pulls and light SA pulls. Those 2 together suggest someone "tuning" it. I would want to examine everything and make sure the parts fitting is in good order before I start really running it.

I have a completely safe 2# 3oz SA pull on my EDC revolver, and even 2# is quite light. Makes for great, accurate SA shooting though. Just need to be trained and skilled with utilizing a gun like that.

Before my 629 got the sear cleaned up, it was dropping at about 1.5#, and that about equaled to breathing on it. Too dangerous that low, but the design also factors in between the two brands.

Looks like the OP got a pretty sweet gun to shoot. Congrats.

iPac, from what I can tell nothing's been modified I'm just used to the trigger of a S&W Sigma(Very gritty) and my Glock(Not as gritty but compared to the Model 19 it's awful)

I did check for push-off when I bought it and both the single and double action although smoother were just about the same weight as my model 15-3 which I know was never worked on.

Thanks for mentioning this because it's way to easy to bubba up the action with some really bad and deadly results.

Best regards,

Kobsw
