Have posted about these a few times now, but finally got around to taking some pictures of them, cell phone was all I had for now. The First three are of a 14-3 (overstamped 2) from approx 1968 that was my grandfather’s who recently passed away. He was a an avid rifle shooter, but this one literally stayed in the sock drawer its entire life. TT, TH, with the most incredibly smooth pull of any weapon I have fired. He loaded up seceral hundred wadcutter rounds for it and never got through them all. This revolver is incredibly accurate. My one hole drill group size with those wadcutters he loaded is more than half as small as the group size I get with my duty guns in 9mm and 40. I’m still looking for the box and contents at the house, he kept all the boxes to his rifles, I can’t imagine this Smith would be any different.
The other one is one of the surplus NY corrections model 10’s (this one is a 10-6) AIM recently had. Cosmetically it is a little rough, the right side finish and grip are pretty well worn but the left side is a lot better. Mechanically, it is almost new. After cleaning the gunk out of the action it is super smooth and locks up tight. Obviously carried every day but almost never shot. Definitely now my favorite shooter.
