From 1976, in case you are interested. It's a Model 15-3 with a serial number of 8K59xxx
Same as on a 4" barrel revolver.Very nice purchase.
I never quite "got" the usefulness of adjustable target sights on a 2-inch barrel revolver, but I think the short Model 15s are great looking guns.

Recently, I have been looking for a 4" Model 15 to add to my collection. I came across this beautiful little 2" version that I just couldn't say no to
Sir, you are almost as bad as I am. Just bought a nice but used model 36, I found in the for sale section, here. All I was planning on doing was posting a few photos for a friend![]()
Actually mine 15-3 X 2" will arrive today 1973). Same condition as yours. Hard to tell if it was fired. I did manage to get a super deal on a 4" same condition a month ago, but no box. I have a WTB ad going for a 6" but no luck. I want a 2, 4, 6 collection.
Good luck with yours, beautiful find!
I had been looking for one for several years and was finally able to grab one. Whether they have any practical use or not is irrelevant. They are just plain cool looking. You will be happy with yours.
