Default Help identify Model 34-1

I inherited a Smith and Wesson Model 34-1 from my grandfather this month and I would like to know more about it.

It got a 4 inch barrel and blue finish. The serial number is located under the handle and the number is ''M763XX'' It also have a stamp that says ''E19'' behind the yoke with the model number.

I would be grateful for any information about this lovely little revolver! I also apologize for my english, Im from Norway

Welcome! This model is also called the .22/32 (.22 caliber built on a .32 frame) Kit Gun. A small handy revolver for informal target shooting or hunting as part of your “kit” (supply bag). They were first made in the 1930s and a similar version is still produced. Enjoy!

I'd guess it dates to the early 1980's.
