New to me model 19-3
I think it was made around 1972
Serial number2k10xxx
It came with a box
Box is printed on the end
Smith&Wesson
357 Combat Magnum
Blue Finish Model 19
Blue Finish
The other smith boxes have a white stick on label the is hand filled out
Is this the correct box?. And date of manufacturing?
Thanks

Made in 1970.
The top of the box should have "A Bangor Punta Company" printed between the S&W name and the Springfield, MA mark.

No Bangor Punta just
Smith & Wesson Inc
Springfield Mass
One problem. The side plate appears to have been bead blasted!!
This is on a 98 percent gun!! It was dark in the fun show.
Does Smith still refinish or anyone restrore 1970 Smiths??

AFAIK they do. There was just someone talking about it in another thread in the last few days. I believe they said 500 bucks. But I forget what model that was and if it would change from model to model.
We definitely need pics.
