I'm a grip maniac, and today I found this set of stocks that seemed to me a regular pair of wooden target Fitz.
Something sounded out of tune, and closely observing I noted the internal marking "Made in Germany" (I knew however that for a period they were produced in Germany) ; surprisingly the bottom reported "EIG-GRIP" in place of capitals FITZ or italic characters fitz.
Did somebody see similar grips before?
A Google search reveals that EIG Cutlery was an importer of cheap handguns, mainly pocket "Derringers" and rough copies of S&W revolvers
