Default Pawn Shop find.

Stopped in to the local pawn shop just to check if there were any new pistols to look at and came upon a very nice Model 67-1.
I got lucky again there today as this fine revolver was priced at just $365 with an OTD price of a bit over $400. I didn't hesitate and 20 minutes later I was on my way home with it. While it's not perfect and didn't come with a box or tools, it's at least 90% and just needs a decent cleaning and lube and the grips match the frame. Serial # is 30K5673. any help on year made would be much appreciated. I'll post some pics once I clean it up.
This is the 2nd S&W revolver I have found at this place for great price, last one was a model 13-3 that I got for $350 OTD around 4 years ago. (it does help that I'm friends with the owner)

Good snag. I would say '78-'79 on the ship date.

Most of my interesting old S&Ws come from pawn shops. Widows looking to dump guns don't often create accounts on the local gun boards or on here (though I have seen a handful do that here). They take them to the local shop and usually get taken to the cleaners. That's how some shops keep the lights on and the rent paid, I'm sure.

No pictures = no proof = it didn't happen.

So what we are saying, JimZ, is that you forgot to post pictures of your new weapon.
