This one cost me $235 in 2002. No box or papers, but it looked like the previous owner never shot it or played with it. I wipe it off once or twice a year, but I’ve never fired it either.

This one was $300 this morning. It belonged to a retired Mount Clements, MI police officer and it looks like it was carried a lot and shot a little (I plan to do something about that). When he died, it went to one of his sons. Sons wife said, “get it out of the house”, so it went to a brother. Brother posted it on a local gun forum (FTF) and now it‘s mine. I spent $300 on a rough gun so I wouldn’t harm the really nice one I got for $235. Please tell me I’m not crazy!

You know they both want to come out and play, right?

Be kind... take a safe queen to the range this weekend.

Nice N frames. I have a "Queen" & a shooter too.
The thing about shooting an N frame 357 is that it gets to be the only one you WANT to shoot.
I seem to hit the little black thing in the middle of the target more often with my 28's than any of my other three-five-sevens.

That makes sense to me too. I hope your "user" shoots great. Long live the queen.

Nice 28's, Chad! I'd sure have trouble NOT shooting that old, cheap one you found in 2002 ... Let us know how your newest one does at the range, and thanks for the post.

All very logical and perfectly sensible to me. I see no flaw in your plan.

They both look pretty awsome. I want to get 4". I just picked up my first 28 yesterday. Much like your 28, it's too nice to shoot...no drag line. Hence, I am of the same school of thought you are...just get another one to shoot.

I really like your first one. It is definately minty!

My attitude that if a gun is worth buying, it's probably worth buying more than one of. Particularly if they're bargains!

One can't have to many 28's, good choice. It will be a great shooter.

I don't think there's many here who would have passed up a Mod.28 for $300. 300 dollars for another N frame makes more sense to me than putting 300 in a 401K right now anyway!

I've got a 28-2 6" safe queen that gets SOME action, but not too much. I wish I had another one, a 4". Crazy? No way.

I bought a 73 DOB 28-2 last year and when I went back to the store they had another one ANIB with all accessories made around the year I was born, 1970. Guess what I did with my stimulus check...
The 73 is a shooter while the older one is my safe queen. Best range gun I've ever owned.
