Model 10-6 Serial D101723
2 inch blued. Previous owner claimed he carried it as a helicopter pilot in Viet Nam, however no gov't markings.

Welcome! It was likely produced in 1969. If you are certain it is a 10-6 (not 5) the barrel has been replaced, as the -6 was only made with a 4" heavy barrel. A photo of the upper frame/topstrap (near where the barrel threads in) would help here.

I want to say that were more than a few non-issue firearms used in Vietnam. Particularly among helicopter crews.
