This Model 60 was ordered from S&W in 1980 and subsequently engraved and inlaid with gold (two colors) on the trigger guard. The big horn sheep was inlaid on the side plate using ivory and gold. I had never seen this done before.

When I saw this revolver in Tulsa on Saturday, I had to add it to my collection.

The engraving and inlay work was done by S&W's Master Engraver, Dominqos Joaquin, in 1981. I did not have a revolver engraved by him and now I have one of his best works.

Gold on bottom of trigger guard and close-up of sculpted front sight.

Bill

I haven't seen this gun since I was a young boy. I think it was one of the top 10 that my Dad engraved. It was one of my personal favorites that he did. I can remember him telling me when I asked about the grips. "Less is more son and it keeps them coming back for more". Doc please take good care of it. His radius cuts are like no others. There is a secret to it that no one would know unless you seen him cut in person

Such a uniquely cool gun, and fun thread that it is time to send this one to the top.
