S&W Model 10-5
I think even a small collection of S&W revolvers must include a classic Model 10. Attached are a couple of photos of mine; a 1972-vintage Model 10-5. I just love the look of the tapered barrel and the balance of the weapon in the hand. I would call this one in 95% or better; it looks brand new. I shoot it some, but only with standard pressure .38 Special. Thanks for looking.

TJ that’s a beauty. Agree everyone should have one. I recently acquired a very well used 10-6 that was a former police Capts gun. I am awaiting a bead blasting so I can have it re-blued.
I am picking up a mint 10-5 2” this week. I also have a pre model 10 post war Victory.

Very nice! Being a 10-5, you certainly won't wear it out with standard pressure ammo, but it is also safe with +P 38 Special. K-frames with steel frame and cylinder and a model number stamped into the crane recess are safe with +P ammo.

Very Nice! I like the standard (tapered) barrel also. I carried a 4" nickel Model 10 during the 1970's-1980's as a LEO. My 10-7 (1979). The fixed sight Model 10 is designed to shoot point of aim with 158 grain ammo.

As you can tell I love Model 10's. Pictured are no dash through Model 10-10. The Model 10-5 (at the 11 o'clock and noon position) are my only duplicates; a blue and nickle finish. All are really good shooters; the smoothest of this bunch is the Model 10-8 (at the 3 o'clock position)

TJ’s model ten looks great! That S&W put the attention to detail in the fit and finish in what was a very basic run of the mill gun is impressive.
I enjoy model 10’s ( all K frames really) but don’t have one at the moment. Though mint in box is fun to look at, my preferences lean to well worn old ( mostly) cop guns. They usually are very good mechanically and I don’t fret about putting more wear on them

Picked up new to me 10-5 2” today. Swapped to a set of Eagle Secret Service grips. Already had the leather. Can’t wait to shoot it.

Here is my used and miss treated 10-5 (before I received it)
It’s been refinished and not done very well I’m probably going to have it redone

I still think it looks very good. These are working guns and they don't have to be perfect. Nice!

That’s true the side plate line is what is messed up the most and it drives me nuts holster wear and all that don’t bother me as much as the re blueing job not done right on the side plate but I have 275 in it

A Retired 10-5
Manufactured circa 1964, ex-Mohave Co. (AZ) Sheriff's Office. Actually in remarkably decent original condition for having seen service as a law enforcement agency issued sidearm. Most amazing is that over the years it's retained its original grips.
