New to me cherry model 10-7
Stopped by the LGS today. Trip was a bit of a let down at first. I almost choked when I saw a 4" model 16-4 in the used case. It was holster worn and at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, it had been rechambered to 32-20, effectively ruining the gun for me. I have long wanted a K-32.
Then, I spotted this little model 10 on the next shelf. I had forgotten about it because it had been sitting for over a month. It was originally priced at $449, but had been marked down to $349 last week and still no one wanted it. I got it for $349 out the door. I didn't need another model 10 but could not resist because it was so clean and I thought the price was right given the condition. Also, I felt sorry for it because no one wanted it and it needed a good home. It kind of called to me. It has a box although slightly tattered. It's a model 10-7, 4" tapered barrel. Serial number is 4D41xxx, dating it to 1979 according to SCSW. Barely a turn line on the cylinder and shoots like a lazer beam. The only real condition issue was that the front sight had been painted red, which came right off with nail polish remover. It will keep my 10 no dash and 10-5s and 10-8s company. This really is addictive! I'm still smiling. Here are the obligatory pics. The reflection in the bluing is just outstanding.

I would have taken that deal. You did very well and congratulations. It's a handsome revolver with classic lines.

I like the M 10 tapereds. In the LEO world, I wonder if they share a reputation like the 30-30 does in the deer woods world.

Yeah seems like the days where you could get ‘em all day for that price are long gone but not completely over. I don’t “need” another M10 but if I saw one that nice at that price I’d have been all over it
