Virtual gun show: 37's on 3/7
The 36's on 3/6 thread worked out well, so let's do it again! Today is 3/7.....show us your 37's!
This one is a no-prefix, no-dash gun from the early 60's. Nelson Ford has worked his magic on it and it's part of my daily carry rotation. I had to unload it to take the pictures. That's a Matt DelFatti speed strip carrier next to it.

I have more early Chiefs Special Airweights than Model 37s.
Here are the legitimate children.
- November 1964: 3" square butt
- March 1969 2" round butt, lanyard
- February 1986 (SPEC ORD code on the box dates it to 1981)
2" round butt, Peruvian FBI (Policia de Investigaciones del Peru)

I have two 37s, but am away from the computer that has the images.
Both from the mid 70s.
A square butt 2".
And a sq butt 3"
Will add pic when I can.
I find sq butt j frames a little easier to master.
The sq butt fits my hand better than rnd butt in

A 1964 edition. Stocks are correct, but unfortunately do not match. However, It is a very sweet revolver.

Interesting ammo box addition….these have been on top of my safe for a bit…
One day we’ll have to do a “What’s on top of your safe?” thread.

Interesting. I have two boxes of the Western 38 Special wadcutters. A dealer had a case of it brand new in the 1980's. I only bought two boxes at $10 each. Should have bought the whole case!
