Nickel 27-2
I can't believe I have not done the show off thing with this 1973 model. Xfuzz motivated me with his beautiful 19-3 for the same vintage. This is the big brother of his. Unfortunately I don't have the Gulf of Mexico for a back drop like Xfuzz.

My absolute favorite Smith is a nickel 6" 27-2, right after a nickel 5" 27-2.

Nickel Ns
My very first Smith & Wesson was a nickel 6" 27-2, bought from a gun shop back in '76 right after I started working there. It was a truly magnificent firearm, just like the one pictured above. Unfortunately, it went the way of so many guns several years later, when the family started to outgrow our income. Since then, I've sort of replaced it, with 5", 6", and 8-3/8" blued 27s, and with these two beauties, a 6-1/2" 29-2 and a 8-3/8" 57 in it's presentation case.
