Default Model 27-2 blued 4" barrel

Just wanted some opinions. My favorite lgs has a pinned and recessed blued model 27-2 with the 4" barrel, football stocks, 95% condition, no box or papers. The asking price is $1,300 and I know these are fairly scarce to find. What does everyone think? Should I grab it as quick as possible?

A guy was walking around today at a AGCA show and he had a nice one, he was asking $1200.

Ninety five percent condition to me means there's blue loss on the high edges, maybe at the front of the barrel, and some signs of wear. Percent condition is very subjective but if you're happy with the finish/wear at whatever it is I'd say grab it. Keeping in mind we're a bunch of enablers here and love to spend other people's money, but blue 4 inch 27-2s are not seen all that often. Bought the only one I have about four years ago with presentation box (probably not THE box), used tools and no paperwork for $900. I wouldn't expect to find one for sale where I shop tagged at less than $1200 and probably a couple hundred more with box/papers/tools. Good luck. Here's mine.

I have two, one is nearly new, the other is excellent. No boxes, target stocks have been replaced with Magnas which I prefer. I would not sell either one for $1,300. But that's me, love them both.

I think $1300 is fair. If I wanted a 4” 27 I would buy it

I'd be sorely tempted at that price.
The 4" M27 is a very desirable revolver, and one I don't have in my "collection" and one I would find hard to pass up. After all, it's only money.

The 4” Model 27-2 was not produced in the same numbers as the 3.5” or 6” barreled ones. If it were offered to me, I would grab it. And I don’t like that small bore cartridge!

Well, I went to look at it and it was maaybe 80% . No pics of it so it was a gamble. However not a wasted trip. I bought a model 66 no dash made in 1975 in great condition. Not the original stocks, but a great price!!

Thanks for the comments on the model 27. I'm still going to work a deal on a lower price. That's half the fun of buying older firearms!!
