Default No dash 57 and 36

Helped a friend with his father's estate. I bought 2 from him and I am selling the others. I worked with his father at the PD and the son at the DA's office.

The 57 is as nice as it looks. The 36 is as ugly as it looks. But he carried it as a backup during the time we worked together. Therefore it has a significance to me beyond its monetary value. It will find time in my carry rotation.

Nice choices, especially the nickel M57. What's the SN, is it a late "S" or an "N" prefix? I have a blued 6" M57 from 1968.

Default 57

It's an N prefix. I have 4 57s. 3 N prefix and a first year S prefix 4" Pinto that left as a 4" blue. It went back to SW about 5 months later and I suspect was pintoed then but there are no factory records to indicate what was done on the repair date. They did find the original invoice and it was a special order sent to a shop in NYC with a multiple gun order. It was the only one listing a customer name.
