Model 15-3 on the way!
I have a pretty nice 15-3 that I will be paying for with a USPS money order on Monday and should get it a week or so. I am pretty geeked up and couldn't wait to share. It dates to 1974 so I think it has the correct grips on it, Magnas without diamonds if memory serves me well. Target hammer & trigger witch I like also. My 6" nickel 19-4 is a 3T and I love it. I think both of my 19-4's and this 15-3 were all shipped in 1974. Apparently it was a good year for me!! Me just being a young whippersnapper at the ripe old age of 14 then.

Agree, it’s one of Smiths finest classics.
I have a 15-3 that was pretty rough thirty or so years ago for my 10 year old son to shoot in USPSA. The finish was bad so I had it electroless nickel plated, a target front sight and a really slick action job. Obviously not original but a super fine revolver with one of the best actions I’ve ever shot.

15's are one of S&W's best efforts. Yours shows TT & TH as well as nice looking PC grips.
If it were mine, I'd put away the TT & TH, replacing with standard width hammer and the slightly later .312 smooth ranger factory trigger. Or just leave it alone as it is. Enjoy!

It might be worthwhile to first letter it, and see how it shipped...I have a Model 15 (no dash) with TH, TT and unrelieved target stocks which lettered as originally shipped...No way I'll change that one... ...Ben

I have been thinking about getting some S&W letters. I have gotten two for some Colt SAA's. Is the S&W process online? Thanks.

Here's a thread from First Model outlining the process... ...Ben
