13-1 3 inch
Was at a gun show this morning and saw a nice looking k frame in a glass case with no tag so I asked the guy what it was. Turns out he was just getting ready to add a tag to to it. Said it was a 13-1, priced at $649 and a private sale, did I want to look at it? I told him that was an excellent price but no, I already have more than enough .357 revolvers.
I knew if I looked at it, I'd probably buy it and I need to save my money for another purchase. I came back about 40 minutes later and, of course it was gone. At least someone got a good deal today.

Sounds like a cool gun, but probably a replaced barrel; the factory original 3" started with the 13-2. But never say never with S & W.

I have more than a few S&W revolvers that have different parts than those they left the factory with. Barrels, cylinders, grips. To me having all correct factory parts is not as important as do the parts satisfy my needs and the use to which I will put the revolver to.

Didn't know that. the Standard catalog of Smith & Wesson doesn't mention that unless I missed it which I do, more and more these days.
