Default 19-3 Rubber Grips

Inherited a 19-3, 4" barrel. This was my brother's first duty weapon. I want to put on rubber grips, but can't find any. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Round butt or square both are available. Go to Ebay put in S&W K frame grip or what frame it is. You can choose rubber. Should see Pachmayer ,Hogue and others in different styles. Save the wood grips.

I like Hogue's but I find it diffiicult to install them and especially removing them to clean any moisture that has formed on the grip frame.

I would look for the discontinued Uncle Mikes RB or SB grips for your revolver.

The fit and feel is usually pretty good for most.

The downfall is not made any longer but if you shop around you can find them at a decent price at times on the secondary market.

If not take a look at the Pachmyr or Hogue site and there should be some new models out there for your model.

Good luck.

Here's my 19-3 with a set of Pach's. I don't think they're the nicest looking grips but they do a good job and are comfortable.

Sometime in the last 10-20 years, it became a crime against nature to have black rubber grips on an S&W. I'd challenge those who think so, to beat the scores I shot with Pachmayr equipped guns.

All hat, no cattle, is the norm today.

The Pachmayr Presentation rubber stocks were a very common sight on revolvers back in the 1980's. I also found them to generally be comfortable in my hand and they do absorb recoil better than wood.

Larry - I second on the Uncle Mikes grips. Check on the popular auction sites for a pair which should be around $50 at this point. Here is my 686-4 with a pair of the round to square conversions. The backstrap is covered. Great feeling and shooting grips. The Pachmayr material is a little firmer / harder.

Good suggestions above. Any rubber grips for a K/L square butt frame will fit your model 19. They are very plentiful, most posts here tend to be about the difficulty of finding wood stocks.

I Like the Grippers on the K Frames.
Many options available, such as back frame exposed or covered?
Amazon and many others have an excellent selection.

Several styles are in stock just about any place you shop. For example: Access Denied

Rubber grips sure feel nice, but really like wood. There is a set of Uncle Mike's on **** . Make you protect frame rust from rubber grips. Lubricate frame surface & remove once and a while to minimize problems. Bob
