Model 15-4 snubby w/stags
I posted this one a week or so back. It came with N Frame Target stocks mounted. I did find a couple sets of the PC Magnas for it but a couple of you fine people suggested that stags would really pop on the beautiful blue…well I found some and installed them. I really like the look and they’re more hand filling!

Stags always compliment a Model 15...Oddly enough, I don't have any photos handy of any of my 2" 15's wearing stags, but until I can find one, may I substitute the Combat Masterpiece's father, from 1927?... ...Ben

Thanks everyone! I don’t have any provenance attesting to the creator of these beauties but after perusing the web I’m inclined towards believing they are Grashorns.

I wish I knew the full history, but I don't...It letters as leaving the factory as a .38 M&P with a 6" barrel, rear target sight and a Call gold bead front sight...Delivered to a Mr. Fred Lewis of Waterville, Maine on March 1, 1927...Mr. Lewis ordered it on February 18 that year...
Apparently he and probably many others enjoyed his fine shooting M&P to the point the barrel wore out, and at some point the barrel was replaced with a 2" factory produced barrel and the correct RH thread shorter ejector rod for the original numbered cylinder...The rest of the gun had been taken excellent care of...
I got it in a trade for $75 plus a 4" Model 30-1 (1965 vintage) that I had gotten in an earlier trade for 5 pairs of S&W grips...The stags I bought from a member here...It's one of my everyday carry guns (carried it today as a matter of fact)... ...Ben

Nice revolver. Did they make the M15 2" with a round butt?

As far as I know S&W never offered the M15 snubby with a round butt.
