Default Target stock replicas??

I recently saw in one thread that there are several companies making target stock replicas.
I haven’t seen any myself and I’ve searched the web.
Unless I’ve bought replicas at top dollar without knowing it?
The old football cut out target seem to be around $200 upwards depending on condish.
I have bought fairly close copies for $85 on Amazon but they are not the same.
Is no one making spot on copies?
At the prices they are fetching, I would think SW might start making them again.
Any info?
Thanks

I’ve gotten grips off ebay from Thailand that are pretty good copies. These are currently listed at about 55 bucks.

Some of the stocks from Thailand are nice and reasonably priced but they're not "the same" as factory originals. Eagle Grips makes some in their Heritage line that are fairly close to the originals; their "cokes" are nice but they're almost $300 too (and not advertised as "cokes"). Some of the custom makers can get them very near the originals too, maybe even "better" than the originals, but now we're in the $500+/- range.

Yes. I have a few pairs of those.
Football cut is not quite the same but they are decent.
They need a sheen put on.
Maybe sand and coat

Eventually there will reach a point where the market is saturated with "near" or good copies that can fool everyone but the discriminating collector. Unfortunately it is collector demand that drives this market, a prime example is the Fake Box guy in Sparta, TN who has built a business of supplying fake boxes that flood the collector market.
Fake hand tags, manuals, literature, boxes etc Im sure there's more but those are the known items. Grips or stocks are on their list. I don't have a problem if they're marked in some way or have a makers mark or logo But when these items are mis represented as Original, That's a problem.
This is why the Craftsmen who do grip restoration on this forum & other forums are worth their weight in gold. These are skilled, dedicated people who take pride in their work and everytime a member posts pictures of their work it is a testament to the quality of their work.

I haven't seen anything that duplicates the originals. Keep you eye on the classifieds here and you will find some reasonably priced. Might as well get what you want.

Not really replicas but the very best I’ve found is culina. They are nice coke bottle shaped. Thick like original S&W targets. Perfect fit. Every other brand I’ve tried doesn’t hold up to them though eagles can come close.
