All impressive hammer prices. The one that floored me was the Mod-76.
Back when I had my Class 3, I had 1/2 doz. M-76s in the safe. Wish I had not sold them all.

The realized price is the bid plus buyer's premium which is 17.5%. You would still have to pay sales tax, and if you aren't a Texas resident or can't come to Bedford, add shipping. This was a "premium" auction, and the quality and prices reflect that.

It looks like the 1st model K32 (1936) did not meet a reserve. No "price realized". I did not look at it all because a friend came over, but if I need a little more excitement I will go back to it. The good stuff is selling for some high prices.

I thought 6K1 and 6K2 (Model 53s engraved by RJS) were a little pricey; Reg Mag prices seem to have softened a bit, but other than that, about what I would have expected in today's market.

There is a 617 Target Champion (prototype?) listed for sale on the forum... ?

Went back and looked - Erocksmash posted it.

Many guns went for gah gah prices. There were 2 I wanted and was willing to pay for that came up late Sunday after 5:30. They both sold for stupid money.

Then again, lot #584 was a .45 (Colt) Model of 1950 with box and Roy Jinks letter in beautiful condition. Estimate was $6,500-9,000 so I didn’t sign up to bid on it. Hammer price was “only” $4,250 so $4,994 with premium.
*Please tell me what was wrong with that revolver?*

I wonder if the bidders are much the same as art auction buyers. Interestingly, art and guns seem to continue to increase in price, well above the rate of inflation. And, common sense.

I thought the pre 16 in four inch would have brought even more.

I really like the patridge front sight on that gun.

I remember holding that one in Glendale.

THIS.... is probably unfortunately true...It will probably become common nature to see common 10-6 Model 10's at $700 plus at every turn...No box, holster wear and chipped stocks.

It's just the nature of scarcity and creeping inflation frankly...

Hallelujah! Finally! I had observed this as well recently at other auctions. They definitely have pulled back a bit and certainly the march ever upward over the past decade has ended.

Perhaps a decent one in its original picture box with a few accessories may be in the cards after all someday.

I enjoy seeing the prices, some actually weren’t bad. Rock Islands premiums are way to high for me, by the time you add the buyers premium, sales tax and shipping, there’s no deal. People who buy these don’t worry about such things I guess.

Some were overpriced, but I thought the RM's were underpriced. Others were just OK or so-so.

"Deals" are rarely found at nationally advertised auctions. I learned that many years ago.

There was nothing wrong with it, that I could see anyway. Which is why I bought it. Included the box serial numbered to the gun. The letter didn't specify the stocks (a really early letter, 1973) but the gun doesn't fit with the targets so perhaps it originally shipped with magnas or with the targets (which are not numbered) separately packaged.

Jeff, that was the buy of the auction but again I might be biased! Congratulations on a fine 1950 .45 Colt

RIAC has a 17.5% buyer's premium, but I noticed Morphy has a 23%.
