Well I have looked everywhere I can think of and I can't seem to find the company who marketed this gun. It is a Smith & Wesson 44 mag. Model 29-5 and is engraved with Wyoming commemorative items such as old faithful, grand tetons national park, yellowstone, and Wyoming's statehood (1890-1990) the date stamped under the grip is Jun 05 1969. It is also engraved as # 43 of 100. I guess what I am asking, is if anyone can point me in the right direction? I have tried an online appraisal, but even he could track it down to the actual marketer. Any help would be great. I do have more info if someone can help.... Also I have many pics, but not sure how to upload on this post...

All SCSW says about it is "100 manufactured, with wood case". If you call customer service at 800-331-0852 they may be able to tell you who ordered them. Likely it was a private group and not a distributor such as Lou Horton, Talo, etc. or this would generally be shown it "The Book". If all you want to know is who ordered the lot, and not "letter" this specific gun, if CS can't help ask for Roy Jinks E-mail address and send him a note.

Wow, Since I work at Yellowstone, I like it. I don't think I have ever seen one. Thanks for the pictures. Not sure who would have ordered something like that.

Well, I talked to Roy jinks, and he said I need to send them the info + $50 for them to look it up. He also said there was no guarantee that he would be able to tell me anything, so I am not sure if I am willing to waste $50... Thanks for the info and good feedback, I will continue my search. Any other leads would be greatly appreciated.

As a rule commemorates do not garner a premium over a standard issue, sometimes you do find a buyer willing to pay a premium. But to the average buyer it's jsut a scratched up gun.
For value condition and location is everything, post some pictures.
