smitholdtimer, Roy's email address is available to members of the S&W Colletor's Assoc. Are you member? Emails to the factory qa address, may or may not get forwarded correctly, and even if they do, I would bet they are on the bottom of the pile that Roy finds time to answer.

I saw your other post, asking basically the same question.
Sir, you are trying to get around the process that S&W has set up for folks to communicate with Roy.
Mr. Jenks is so swamped with requests to "letter" guns (for a very nominal fee, BTW, that he had to suspend taking new requests to catch up with the paying customers. He may be accepting them again.
I suggest that you send him the fee and let him put your request in line for him to get to.
It strikes me that you are like the guy who is always trying to break in line. No sympathy here.
Get in line!
Or . . . as the other thread said, CALL HIM at the S&W toll free number. Odds are, you may catch him and he'll be glad to talk to you.

I hope you misunderstood my intentions, I did not and do not intend to break in line. Did not know that his "E" isn't published until informed that only S&WCA members have access. Sorry to have assumed. I will call customer service. Happy Holidays.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, and I surely hope he'll be around to answer your questions!
Stick around, I think you'll enjoy the forum. Lots of characters around here and some good folks, including some like me who don't mind apologizing when they make a mis-assumption!
Hope you have a wonderful holiday season too,
Tom

No apology necessary but thanks for the understanding, I just got this thing operating and continue to be in the learning stages. Look forward to my continuing education about the S&W.

smitholdtimer, I was assuming from your handle that you might have been around a while collecting S&Ws, like me (Going on 80 yrs collecting now!). If so, and you haven't joined the S&W Collectors Assoc., you are missing a lot of great info and contacts with fellow members. Call Roy Jinks at the factory next week ( 1-800-331-0852, ext 223.) and if you are lucky enuff to catch him available, ask him your questions. He likes to talk to collectors, but he's a very very busy man. There's a link on the factory web page to the S&WCA's membership application. Good luck, Ed.

opoefc & all you other folks, I agree about Roy's attitude. My experience was at a G Show some 30 or so years ago in Winston-Salem, N.C. His intervention enabled me to have modifications and improvements made to and old plunker M-28 someone other than Smith had nickel plated. The S&W factory had already refused to work on it and he used his influence to get the work done for me. I have never forgotten that and will always have the highest regard for him and S&W. I have the download application for S&WCA and will complete and mail directly. You guys are great. I haven't been at this as long as you have opoefc, but I really do enjoy it. Thanks for sharing.
