I spotted this yesterday at a new shop that just opened up. It was a Model 60-15.What sparked my interest was the front hiviz sight and the 3" barrel. What threw me though were the laminated grips. Not seen that combo before. He had it priced at $525. I went back today and traded in a Ruger SP-101 on it. Ended up paying $200 cash.
Further digging today has turned up that this was a Talo edition piece. http://www.camfour.com/77550132.htm
Here is the picture I took when I got home with it.

So how did I do on this? I have to admit...I can't get enough of S&W wheelguns. This one has a real sweet single action trigger pull too!

I'd buy one tomorrow, without the lock.

I owned a 60-14 with the lock that actually locked up while firing. The little flag would pop up and lock the cylinder. I got rid of the 60-14 and bought a 60-9 357 which I paid only $425.

Others here know more things S&W than I do, but with the 3"er, hi-viz front and adjustable rear, and the grips, that has to be a unique model run. Which is probably why it's a Talo piece.

Aren't going to be many of those around, so I think you did fine. Trading a common Ruger and a bit of cash sounds like a good deal to me. Congrats.

Should be fun to shoot too, unless you want to keep it unfired for the future.

I have only shot my friends 60-13.
It appears to be the same except for
the front sight.
I have shot 150 rounds of 357 and 38.
His is a most accurate and enjoyable
weapon.
You did good on the trade. Mabe very good.
