Default aka Unexpected Gunbroker win

I was browsing GB the other day looking for a used Tyler T grip. The combination of a T grip and a RB K frame is perfect for my hands, and I think it looks good as well. I had picked up a 2.5inch nickel 19-2 a few weeks ago and it needed one.

My search turned up a nickel 13-1 with a T grip and the price was still pretty low IMO. I saved the auction and kept a eye on it for a few days. I happened to remember to check it when there was 15 minutes left and it was still only at $456.99, so I put a $500 bid on it and went about my business fully expecting to be outbid. Well, either it went under the radar or the revolver market really is pretty soft these days. I won it for $461.99 and if you subtract the $30 that a T grip costs these days that makes a darn good deal to me.

It did turn out that the grips do not match, but that just gives me a excuse to get in touch with the Culinas. Or maybe I will try to get a set of stags done this time. Either way I am happy with the win. It does have some hazing and yellowing of the nickel, especially on the right side, but I just got some Flitz in and will take care of that.

Obligatory pics. Gotta love pinned and recessed fixed sight .357's

So now you still need a T-grip adaptor for the other gun you already had! It never ends!

Good buy! Oh, I think those stocks look pretty good. Unless, they are mounted on a round butt.....

They are nice. I just have a habit of contacting the Culinas whenever I have a gun that comes in without its original stocks.

ETA:

Got a email back from the Culinas. On the list for a set of smooth K frame SB magnas in American holly.
