Dad's Gun was probably made in 1966 or 1967. Maybe somebody here can call it closer than SCSW.
The nickel and gold plating was almost certainly an outside job, not a S&W finish combination. There was a shop in my home town in those days that specialized in two and even three tone finishing, blue, gold, nickel.
