I have a line on a 3.5" pre mod. 27 in excellent shape. The price is $850 with no box or docs. ?????

That's about an average asking price. Maybe even a bit on the low side for a 3.5" model (asking price, now).

No bargain but a fair price if 98+ condition.

Good price based on your description especially if it has correct (numbered to gun) diamond Magnas.

Make sure you post pics once you get it!

Is it a 4 Screw or a 5 Screw. I'd expect a non model marked 4 Screw would bring a premium. Only made for a short while and not a common barrel length.

Grab it and don't worry about if its $50 or $100 too high!! You can spend lots more than that just searching, going to gun shows, etc! They are hard to come by and if I didn't already have one, I would be very interested. You will always be sorry if you pass it by. I am still lamenting letting two guns sit in a gunshop seven years ago!

Just do it.
