New pictures of an old gun... This gun was manufactured in 1975. It is a K22 Masterpiece Model 17-3. This is one of fifteen that was produced with the nickel finish.
This gun had been shot a lot before I got it, but damn, she cleaned up real nice for an older lady.
Enjoy,

bd, Lee Barner told me you were K22 crazy. I have no reason to doubt him! That gun looks awesome! I don't think I've ever seen one like it.

Bruce,
So, that is one of your " couple of them??" Darn pretty, thanks for sharing. Very nice pics as well.
Hasn't Lee talked you into doing a K-22 photo thread yet?
Would have had my first K-22 in possession (the one you let me have )but have not been able to pick it up due to being stuck in the tractor

Looks like a ratty old pimp gun to me. I've lost a lot of self respect over the years, so I guess if you're tired of it, I could use it to hammer nails or leave in the boat. Its only rare if you're looking for one.

I’d say it’s a treasure.
I love the gun, but what's with the scary reflection on the recoil shield? Must be Halloween decorations!
Now you need a matching Jet and Model 48.

Bean, dontcha just love that nickel and walnut? That gun dresses up nice.
Now explain to me about being 'stuck' in your tractor. I know midwest girls and I could perceive that possibility. But not you, right? Most of them are from Iowa...
Lee has been after me like a coon dog in the bayous to take a group grope shot of the few that I have. I will probably have to lay them in the driveway and stand on the roof to get them into the same shot.
Can't wait to hear about your new acquisition. Wring it out and let us see pics.
Chad, it is a treasure. Right now I know of five of the fifteen. Unfortunately I only have the one.
I love the gun, but what's with the scary reflection on the recoil shield? Must be Halloween decorations!
It's hard to take pics of polished nickel guns. They reflect like mirrors in all directions. bdGreen

It's a re-nickel and being sold by those we do not speak of - wouldn't by it from them if it was one of the original 15 . . . .

Simply gorgeous.
I have often wondered why S&W didn't make a lot more Model 17's and 18's in nickel. The finish is a lot more rust-resistant than blue and one would think more outdoorsmen would want this.

Would a factory nickel M&P 22 make you happy?
Shipped in 1996 but manufactured many decades earlier

K22 MOD 18. Is this a rare find?
Hi guys! Well I just inherited a K22 MOD 18, K333763, 22LR,
4 1/2 " barrel, it's honestly in rough condition but it shoots very smooth. I was wondering what if it's worth anything and if I should get it restored. It's all original.
Thanks!
Tami
