Certainly the short barrel guns (2 1/2" barrels), but it's possible that a special run could have been made. There were some later models that had the RB gripframe.
Is the backstrap serrated?
That's usually a good way to spot a conversion, not too many folks re-cut serrations, they just smooth the backstrap out.

I am not aware of any, BUT I remember seeing some 19-3's or -4's that lettered from the factory in that configuration. Most likely a 4" barrel on a 2.5" frame, I understand that that was a popular switch for LEO's in the late 70's and early 80's.
BTW, I just won an auction on a 19-4 in exactly the same config, including the fact that there is no "step down" on the top of the frame closest to the barrel. It will be interesting to look at it a little closer when I get it next week and compare it to all of my other combat magnums and to the photos of yours.
One other interesting item of note - in your photos, the revolver appears to have a stainless rear sight and those were replaced with a black/blued rear sight after the 1st several years of the 66 (no dash)....

Also, on all of the RB CM's that I have seen, there is no SN in the yoke/crane area.

All I have seen are the photos. If I can, I'll inspect it in person.
