I was under the impression that the model 13 round butt was only configured with the 3 inch barrel - how rare is the model 13 round butt with a 4 inch barrel?

I have been under the impression that the model 13 with a 3" barrel was a RB, And the 4" barrel was a SB, Barrels can be switched! Or a 4" SB grip frame could be ground down like I did to this finish challenged example.
I know of one 4" RB M13 that came that way from the factory. It was presented to my former partner when he was voted "Officer of the Year" by our FOP Lodge in 1986. He had always carried a SB M13 and I remember the presentation gun being an oddity with the round butt. I liked the combination well enough that I had a 4" HB installed on a 2" RB Colt Lawman MKIII.
Smith was making up unusual configurations for Lew Horton and Ashland Shooter's Supply around that time, so why not?
The model 13 was produced in a 4" round butt heavy barrel configuration from 1996 to 1998.
The product code for these guns was 100306.
Shortly thereafter in 1999 the model 13 was discontinued. The last was the model 13-5.
I have seen one (13-5 4" r.b.) the seller thinks he has gold. Personally I don't care. It's just a late 90s' variation.
I like my Smiths quite a bit earlier .
