Default Model 30-1 leather

I am looking for holster options for a S&W Model 30-1 with a 3 inch barrel. Not too much from what I can see. Bianchi doesn't even list the model 30 as an option. I have a 5BH for my 65 and like it a lot. Is there a more recent revolver of similar size? I think the 3 inch barrel is the problem. Would it be easier to cut an inch off? Just kidding but if I had it to do over again I probably would have looked for a 2 inch.

Hey Com, any J-frame 3" holster will do. It's basically the same as a 36 or 60.

Any holster for a 3" J-frame should work. I know this doesn't point you in a specific direction but it's unlikely you'll find holsters made and marked specifically for a Model 30. 3" J-frames, on the other hand, aren't uncommon.

In other words, if you find a holster for a 3" Model 36, a much more common gun, it will also fit your Model 30.

I have four J frames with 3" barrels and use a Bianchi X-15 shoulder holster (top row, far left) and these holsters below. Safariland 17, Bianchi, Safariland 16.

I had a Don Hume for J frames, but I gave it to my son.

Try the custom makers on this forum as well.
