I have a pair of N Frame targets made of walrus ivory. They have the initials of a previous owner scrimshawed on them, and the name of the man who carved them on the inside of each grip panel. They look nice, but they don't fit the gripframe as well as I would like them to. Is there a gripmaker you would recommend to make these fit the way they should?

Don Collins or Roy Fishpaw if they would do it for you. They both make ivory grips. I asked Roy if he would fit a set for me a while back and then didn't send them. I am saving them for a future purchase of a 3.5" pre 27.

I would try Patrick (Excutioner) who is a very respected grip maker and a forum member as well.

I had some hippo ivory and I sent it to Boone Trading to have several sets of grips made. He does very nice work.

Scrimshaw is one of his specialities; I didn't have this done but check his web site for examples.

Here is one set that I had made.

Craig Spegel has done some ivory work; you would have to contact him and ask.
