They are actually both my late father's guns. He was a S&W guy too.

Jun, those are two great firearms. Congratulations. And it's good to have a family connection to them.

Just the fact your dad owned them make them priceless. Nothing is more valuable than the guns from my father and grandfathers. We share a great legacy. Respect for our fathers defines us. To know the future, you must learn the past.

Kind sir, those look pretty darn good to me. Some of the nicest guns I've seen weren't NIB! I'd be darn proud to own either of them.

Thanks for the comments. At first, when I held the S&W459 it didn't feel right in my hands(I used to carry a polymer gun). It felt heavy, bulky and I didn't like the square trigger guard. After a while though of handling and firing it I began to see why dad bought it. It fed rounds right, fired all the time and was obviously well made. It's still what I carry but now it feels so right.

Very nice, Jun. And having belonged to your father makes them quite special. Thanks for sharing with us.

Great handguns and great pics. Quality before quantity. Thanks for sharing. The guns I own that were my father's or grandfather's are the guns that mean the most to me as I am sure your also mean the most to you.

Please keep posts on S&W firearms in one or more of the S&W forums.

Other brands can still be discussed in The Lounge.

Those ought to take care of most anything that needs taking care of. Good pair. Hang on to them tight.

That's a great pair of S&W's. I'll bet they are both accurate and reliable, oh and pretty too.

Well I just came back from my sisters house to return her 49. She was really happy with the results. I was so happy with the result I almost kept it for myself.
