Default New toy

Look what followed me home from the gun show today! I am finally a member of the j-frame crowd. Model 60 no dash, ser number r63xx. Now I need to figure out a holster arrangement for this so I can start carrying it.

Dirk -
Nice find, but be careful, buying a J frame usually leads to buying another, and another, and.....
Seriously, your no dash looks good, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Nice find on a s&w classic. I have owned several over the years and sold or traded them away. They are still one of the best. Enjoy.

Sir, you are to be congratulated for allowing this poor orphan to take up permanent residence with you.

I carry my Model 49 Bodyguard in a Don Hume J.I.T. slide holster. It's very compact, and fits very comfortably.

Very nice Model 60!

Thanks folks, I appreciate the warning on more to come, it's like eating potato chips, isn't it? Started with n-frames and gravitating to carry size guns. I was just going to ask what I should look at for a holster. I'm a jeans and t-shirt guy mostly, so something that will work well with that scenario?

Nice carry piece there. A Mika Pocket Holster or a Barami Hip Grip were what I chose for my M38 Bodyguard. I switch back and forth depending on circumstances and have no complaints. Good luck.

Nice find, I don't see a lot of the pinned barrel model 60's anymore.

Dirk,
I have good news and bad news. First the good news. That is one fine looking snubby. I am sure you are going to love it. Congrats on an excellent choice. There are a thousand variations of holsters for it. You need to decide on an "In the waistband", or a pocket carry holster. Many to choose from.

Now the bad news. You are sooooo screwed! Those things multiply like rabbits! Next will come a classic Chiefs Special, then a Centennial, then a .....you get the idea!

Best of luck.

I know! I already have the first stages of the disease, I have a model 629-3, this model 60, and got rid of a model 57-1 this weekend. Who knows what is next, I kind of like the model 28's, that might be my next stage of the illness.

Love the stainless M60. I like to collect blued guns and carry stainless models. A stainless M60 is way at the top of my wish list.

I just found a mint 3" M36. Will pick it up next week and I can't wait.
