Early N Prefix Model 27 Long Barrel
I picked this one off G Broker a couple years ago, and never really shared it here. It was advertised poorly. No thumbnail pic, listed correctly as a long tube (which typically garners less interest), short description with little detail, and opened @ $600 w/no reserve. Since you guys weren't paying attention I was the only bid . I wanted an 8" bbl shooter, and figured at an M28 price, I had little to lose on a 27 in good condition.
Good condition turned out to be an underestimation. This five digit N-Prefix gun is fired on three chambers only. It came with box (though it's quite rough), and all the extras. The auction listing made no mention of it being unfired, having a box, or what came in the box. There was something extra in the box. Notice the 3"x5" note card. Mr. Robinson, if you are looking for your Model 27, it's in my safe

Congrats on a handsome gun at a great price!
Really great price!
I wonder what the backstory is regarding the 3 x 5 card?

Beautiful - a long tube is on my (ironically) “short” list!

Me too. I tried googling some of the information, but without an area code it's tough.

Real nice score there for $600. I bought one a year ago in that condition but with a presentation case and in nickel, but it was double that price. Those long tube 27's are really pretty!

I'd pay $600 bucks for that and smile the whole way home.
Next to honest worn guns with character, like new in the box guns that managed to survive all these years in the hands of someone who rarely if ever used them but took good care of it keeping everything together.
My '72 Python was like this 27, and interestingly enough, I plan on making it an honest worn gun with character myself.
So how does this 27 shoot? I bet it's a hoot, and hope you take advantage of it.
(what if Mr. Robinson emerges? )
