Default 629 Family photo

OK, messing with the camera again....

A 3 inch, 4 inch 6 inch and a 8 3/8 inch antique. Dash 1s and dash 4 guns...The dash 4s have the round butts. Also the dash 4s have different thumb latches. The dash 1 with the unfluted cylinder is a hunter classic, the heaviest 44 I own.

I got a cute -4 4 incher today.

Well, any other family photos??

Someday I'll have a family of 629's. Until then, I'll have to live vicariously through you. Very sweet family.

You've got those clean and sportin' fine factory stocks! (That short one is a tough find.)

I do mostly 29's, but I have a -4 & -3 in the 629 model.

Nice.

Most of my guns have been ugly but very functional. Coming to this forum (and looking at posts by the likes of 500 Magnum Nut) has started to give me ideas that make me think I better log off now while I still have a dollar in my pocket and some room in my safe.

Here are my 629 4" guns. Two no dash, one -2 "Mountain Revolver", a -3, and a -4. They are all square butts except the -2, even the -4 is a square butt. Must've been an early -4.

Aren't, in the 629 family, the full luggers 6.5" and the partial luggers 6"?

For your amusement - and gripped for my .44 Russians, Specials, and really wimpy Magnums - below is my vast 629 family:

Yep, resplendent in their MIM parts - and that beauty mark, the IL! I don't care - they are shooters of the first order - never a problem. Okay, I tweaked them - they like Fed primers. I have Hogue .500 Magnum grips for 'real' Magnums - for all (Both!) of them. Fun revolvers. Fall is here - I will likely return the 6"-er to it's last fall 'look' - just in case I get a wild hair and want to blast those 110yd rifle steel plates - or, less likely, hunt!

It's a small family... but a fun loving family!

I had a 6" no dash as a kid and I sold it off. Boy I hate myself today for doing such a stupid thing.
