I have a S&W 625-8 in .45 acp 6 shot 5 inch barrel revolver with the lock that I have only used once and, after 2,000 rounds of shooting standard, and +p .45 loads, even reloads, the lock hasnt so far auto locked on me while shooting. I dont like the IL lock either but,I have to live with it and since I am permantly disabled by major health and a new amputee,I like and love shooting revolvers. rz625-8
