That's sweet! The blued trigger is interesting. I don't think I've noticed any before.
Oh, BlackSky's is too.

I haven't seen any of these on here yet so I figured I'd chime in. My faithful 332 that has been in my pocket for the last 3 years. It's currently in the process of becoming my wife's sidearm, but for that same reason there's a 442 ND on it's way to my FFL

BlackSky, very nice 432. I was about to ask which model that was and then it came to me. Very clever.

I’m resurrecting this thread with a comment and question- I personally really admire the S&W Centennial! I carried a 342Ti as a BUG for a good portion of my LE career and recently added a 1953 “pre” Model 40 and a 1966 Model 40 to my Centennial collection.
Is there a source or reference which lists each and every “Centennial” model S&W ever produced? To start with and include the “pre” 40 and 42 up to today’s offerings…

I've had many J-frame snubnose guns in the last fifty+ years, but for reasons unknown, never a Model 40. It may be a moot point for some, but a revolver with a grip safety would seem to be the safest revolver ever made, assuming the grip safety is reliable.

I just quickly went through the SCSW 4th. and I’m counting at least three dozen known variations of the Centennial including regular production, prototypes and PC versions. Incredible…

Here is a version of the 642, that you don't see too often, a 642-2 with a 2.5 inch barrel.

Centennials
I have added a few since my last post on this thread!
![](https://i.imgur.com/Hu9n2Fr.jpg)
And my mostest favoritest shooter with Curt Harlow grips!

These are hot ones to shoot but with the right grips they can be fun!

Centennial thread
Great thread. I like and regularly carry centennials. Have some of the less common variants. But, one of my favorites is a basic, regular production, Model 442-2 from about 2005. It has a few thousand rounds downrange and lots of ankle, pocket and appendix carry time. It is super reliable. Was my "go everywhere" gun for years. Now, I am so attached to it that I will not fly with it or take it some places. Carried it today.

Glad to see this thread still has a pulse.
Here is my pre-Model 40, satin blue, 4-screw, that likely shipped in early 1955..... (still has the safety pin):

To me, a real Centennial has a grip safety. That's a real Centennial.

While the early guns are really cool IMO the squeeze safety (likely inherited from their top break predecessors) is really a useless feature and likely why they eliminated it.
I always carried a Model 37 or 38 but have a Model 042 in satin blue been debating about putting into ccw rotation.

Centennial thread
Here are two more. Models 042. The most attractive centennial in my view. The nickel Model 40 a close second. Wanted one since the first time that I saw the picture in the Catalog of Smith & Wesson 3rd Edition. Shiny blue and anodized alloy frame. It’s a winner. Sort of like the “black tie” version of my 442-2 posted above.
