Default 60-18 two piece barrel

I just picked up my new 60-18 .357 with a 5" barrel from the Buffalo Gun Center. I was interested to see it is a two piece barrel.
I have heard the discussions on the pros and cons but I was wondering if anyone can tell me how the two pieces are manufactured and fitted together.
If anyone knows of any pictures or diagrams of it, that would be even better.

Thanks in advance,

John
