I have a Smith and Wesson Airlite Pd 340 pd sc .357 . Im interested in finding out the value of the weapon. I has less than 25 rounds fired through the pistol. I was purchased in 02 by my Dad who only shot the gun on once occasion. Its in the original case. Black body and Red background.

I would say easily 500.00 to 700.00 just based on a google of the model. It also looks in very good shape.

You could get 8 for it ,there just no out there.

$500-700 was the correct value - in 11/2009 They are a little more pricy now.

I paid $740 for my M340PD brand new about three years ago.

I was just telling Missus Fan yesterday it's the only S&W revolver I own that is worth less than I paid for it. After reading these responses, possibly I'm wrong.

It is a great revolver, and lives in my left pocket 24/7.

Looking at it from a different angle...

I've an original 340PD which has been my pocket gun since new.

With full power Magnum loads, it's worthless.
With .38 +P, it's priceless.
