Here's the only one I have around presently. It went back to the factory for an action job and the post front sight. A superb shooter. Stocks are by Don Collins.

Seems a shame not to keep this thread going awhile longer, so show some more love for those Model 66's, everyone...

Excellent choice! Hard to do any better IMO! Congrats!
Here is mine for the 150th time. It used to see alot of shooting and was my carry gun for years. It still get's shot with light .38's and the occasional .357 for long shots at milk jugs and is my all time favorite S&W! It shoots like it has an 8" barrel.

Both of these were won on auctions as well - a 66-1 and 66-5. Picked up the -5 not long ago.

Here's my 66 no dash, stainless rear sight. This revolver is incredibly accurate.
And here is my 66-1, a former NH State Police gun. How many 66s have you seen with a factory lanyard loop?

Was very happy to add this 66-1 to my collection, got this from a good friend and fellow SW forum member, 357magWheelGunner. I meet Joe about a year or so ago from another gun site, we became friends and have helped each other with firearms. We haggled back and forth, best part of collecting, but when it's all said and done we always help each other out. And are always calling and texting each other, when one finds a deal that we know the other will be interested in. A good friend for sure.
This 66-1 is in excellent shape, original s/n matching box, tools and all the paperwork. Lock up is tight and timing is perfect. A great addition to my collection.
