Ressurection of an old thread........because.......
I am a .357 fanatic, for 50+yrs, but this .327 world has
become sooooo enjoyable for me and MamaOzo.
I don't know how it slipped by me for so long after the
.32 H&R's came out, but probably because the .32's
before, as I was growing up around them, were so
'cheesy' and limited to handguns I really didn't like.
A year and a half ago(?) a lady in a LGS tried to sell my wife
an SP101 .327, and overhearing the conversation, spawned enough interest that I came home and researched all the loading data I could [very little for the .327FedMag] and found myself in awe at the whole package of ballistics along with the choices of revolvers chambered for it.
The versatility alone is overwhelming !
We shoot a GP100, SP101, Blackhawk, Taurus M327 2" & 3", and a M632 S&W black matte finish Pro Carry.
Just an example.....on the very low end of loading the .32H&R
brass, Berry's 83gr DEWC, W231 powder 3.1gr, [and the ease of a Dillon 550B] we have chrono-ed 950fps from the GP100 w/4"bbl.........and NO recoil felt.
A Performance Center K frame of mine [M67-5] has the first matte black finish I've owned from Smith, and is the reason the M632 HAD-TO-BE the same finish as well.
All of these .32's mentioned above are SWEET and accurate with our loads, and VERY fun to shoot [100's of rounds per trip to the range], but this M632 ProComp is a JEWEL !!!!!!!!!!
